The Waverly opened on Stuart Street in the spring of 2025 as a wedding and events venue from day one — the same reception hall, covered porch, and garden that host a ceremony on Saturday can just as easily hold a corporate holiday party or a milestone birthday the following week. Every event gets in-house bar service, a full catering kitchen for the caterer of your choice, and included tables and chairs, so the planning list is shorter than most Charleston venues require.

Yes, you can choose from The Waverly's preferred caterer list or bring your own licensed and insured caterer to use our on-site commercial warming kitchen.

How late can events run?

Thanks to our 2:00 a.m. liquor license, events can run much later than the standard 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. curfew found at many Charleston historic properties.
