A bridal shower often brings both families together before the wedding weekend begins, and the room sets the tone. The Waverly, at 94 Stuart Street on the Charleston peninsula near the Cooper River and the Ravenel Bridge, offers three kinds of space on one property: a covered porch with lantern lighting and ceiling fans, a landscaped garden, and a 3,000-square-foot Reception Hall with chandeliers and bi-fold doors that open onto the porch.
That range lets you choose the space that fits your guest list instead of shrinking a shower to fit a room built for something else. Showers are hosted here year-round, with layouts customized to your plans, a caterer of your choice, bar service from Uptown Hospitality Group, and the tables and chairs already on site.

The Covered Porch seats up to 40 for a sit-down meal. Ceiling fans, lantern lighting, and built-in heaters keep it comfortable, and retractable screens can enclose the whole space. Bi-fold doors connect it to the Reception Hall, so the gathering can move between the two.
For a bigger guest list, the Reception Hall seats up to 160 for a meal and holds up to 200 cocktail-style, under high ceilings and chandeliers. Round and rectangular tables are included, so you can arrange the room around a head table, a gift table, or a dessert display.
Guests can begin on The Veranda, a covered space beside The Garden with lantern lighting, ceiling fans, and built-in heaters. The Garden, a fenced-in courtyard of lawn and stone pavers, works for standing gatherings and photos when the weather cooperates.
The Waverly does not provide catering. Your caterer works from our catering kitchen: choose from our preferred Charleston caterers (5% impact fee) or bring an outside caterer approved by Waverly management (10% impact fee). Table linens, plateware, and silverware are rented separately through a third-party rental company. Florals and décor are yours to bring.
Uptown Hospitality Group is The Waverly's exclusive beverage provider. Packages cover beer, wine, and liquor at Standard, Premium, and Luxury tiers, priced per person, per hour, with add-ons such as a champagne toast and coffee service. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
